We are going to be looking at Traditional Tales in Literacy, this half term we are using Little Red Riding Hood as our motivation and after half term we will be getting a local look at the genre through The Lambton Worm.
Anglo Saxons - timelines, where and why they came to Britain, Saxon home life and Sutton Hoo. A visit to Bede's World is being organised as I type!
How plants grow and Seed dispersal are the areas we will cover in Science. Let's get growing!
In other areas we will be learning how to use e-mail and the internet safely in ICT, studying Christian Buildings and The Easter Story in RE, making Anglo Saxon felt designs and studying architecture in Art and Design. Our music will relate to Traditional Folk songs from the area to tie in with Literacy. In geography we will develop our Atlas skills to help us research maps and things relating to our foundation subjects.
It's an exciting term and one I hope all of the children enjoy. We will be performing an assembly for parents later in the term to celebrate some of the excellent work I know we will produce.
