Year 2 were set the task of recreating Pudding Lane, where the Great Fire of London started, as part of their homework. The results are amazing. Well done to you and your special helpers.

Today, our friends from Green Watch at High Handenhold Fire Station helped us to re-enact the Great Fire of London on a miniature scale! We had spent hours constructing our very own Pudding Lane, only for it to be turned to ash in less than five minutes. We very much enjoyed our afternoon and would like to thank Green Watch for not only making this such an amazing and memorable experience, but also for keeping us safe. We have had an amazing week in Year 2 and one of the highlights was gymnastics in PE. Lucie and Alexia led the lesson, starting off with an energetic warm up, followed by a demonstration of their skills. Everyone practised different kinds of balances, in preparation for creating a simple routine over the next few weeks.
On Tuesday, we are looking forward to staging our own reenactment of the Great Fire of London - with the assistance of our local fire brigade. If you have any spare cardboards boxes, please send them our way - so that we can build a miniature version of Pudding Lane. Watch this space for more information! Year 2 have had fun raising money for Children in Need. They took part in a sponsored skip and a Just Dance challenge, as well as wearing non-uniform. Well done everyone!
