Have a good think before you start writing and try to be really creative in your story. Aim to create a context - who? What? Where? When? Why? How? Remember to include: powerful vocabulary choices; a range of openers; connectives and punctuation for effect. When you have written it, ‘mumble’ read it to yourself to check that it makes sense! Make sure it is interesting and exciting too. Try to avoid repetition.
