Before anyone takes umbrage with the subject of this blog (the heartless de-heading of hundreds of dandelions) I would like to point out that the grass around our school was due to be cut the day this activity took place.
Year five clearly enjoyed the sun we enjoyed on Thursday and consequently their flowery creative juices began to flow.

Dandelion facts:
Dandelion is French for tooth of the lion, relating to their jagged petals.
In Aberdeen they are known as Hairy Witches and if you catch a seed you can make a wish.
Every part is useful and are renowned for their diuretic properties (10 drips to anyone in Y5 who can tell me what that means by next weekend).
Nice photo-bombing Mitchell!
