The prompt this week is in celebration of Sir Ranulph Fiennes’ latest challenge.
Sir Ranulph Fiennes, the world’s greatest living explorer and adventurer, is taking part in the world’s most extreme foot race – the Marathon des Sables this April. He will be attempting to run 156 miles (251km) over just 6 days in the blistering heat of the Moroccan Sahara Desert aiming to raise £2.5 million for Marie Curie to help people living with terminal illnesses and their families. If he completes it he will be the oldest Briton, at 71 years old, to have completed the race.
The prompt is:
… My Ultimate Adventure…
Think about your story before you start to write and make a plan. Create a context - who? What? Where? When? Why? How? Remember to include: powerful vocabulary choices; a range of openers; connectives and punctuation for effect. Make sure you include the prompt in your story too! When you have written it, ‘mumble’ read it to yourself to check that it makes sense! Aim to make it interesting and exciting. *Try to avoid repetition.
Let your imagination run wild!!!
