The Avignon bridge in France has only got one half, I wonder why? Some people might know. People like me don’t know but want to know! Have you ever seen a bridge that is only one half? Would you like to see one? Well maybe it got blown up or fell in the water because of all the weight. If wagons, trucks and lorries were driving over and it was so heavy it dropped. Here’s a good idea maybe they didn’t have enough money to build the rest. We’ll never know unless we stick in at school and learn about it …

Alisha, I agree that the picture prompt has brought up many questions. I haven't seen anything like it before! You bring up many possible reasons. Best solution as you mention - let's learn about it! Great plan for my 4th grade class this week. :) Thank you!

Alisha quite true! Hopefully you can research and find out what happened. I wonder if they will ever rebuild/complete the missing part. I like the way in your writing you ask questions to make the reader think.
