It was one stormy night in Ireland, Captain Jon William he knew it would be a struggle to guide his magnifiersent ship through the rocks, in the fog, wind and waves. So he swiftly but carefully guided him and his crew through the rocks. All of a sudden, a great big wave came and knocked the boat into the rocks. Jon's ship quickly became flooded with freezing cold water! Jon and his crew made a lucky escape. Luckily the ship had no cargo. Well, the ship is still there in Ireland rusting in the rocks!

As I walked through the forest with my dad, but as the leaves rustled I stopped! “Dad…. I said excitedly” “Look there’s a bird” My dad said. So I took a photo. It was a beautiful black bird it had a bright orange beak. When we drove home I admired the picture. Eventually we go back home so I hung it on my wall. It went great with my blue walls! I invited my friend molly over to see if it had good photography skills obviously she said yes! Then she said she wanted to go back to the woods and find brown birds instead! Good evening and welcome back to the Night Zoo. You join us here in dark times I am afraid. The evil Lord of Nulth has declared war on imagination and his reign of terror is in danger of destroying the Night Zoo and creativity once and for all. The Night Zoo needs your help! Your first task is to watch and listen carefully to this short story about the Lord of Nulth. This week's 100 Word Challenge links perfectly with our WW1 topic this week. On 11th November each year, people remember those who have died fighting in wars and conflicts. This year we are commemorating the centenary of World War I. The prompt this week is: …Remember… You might like to write about how it felt to be left at home worrying; you may want to write about how it felt to go away from your loved ones and fight in a foreign land; you may like to write a poem about how you feel on Remembrance Day. If you live in the UK, you may have visited the poppy display at the Tower of London. As always you have 100 words. Please think carefully and seriously about your work. The Avignon bridge in France has only got one half, I wonder why? Some people might know. People like me don’t know but want to know! Have you ever seen a bridge that is only one half? Would you like to see one? Well maybe it got blown up or fell in the water because of all the weight. If wagons, trucks and lorries were driving over and it was so heavy it dropped. Here’s a good idea maybe they didn’t have enough money to build the rest. We’ll never know unless we stick in at school and learn about it …
It was Timmy’s fourth day in France. He woke up to the blazing sun shimmering in his dark blue eyes. As he got out of his bed he screamed at the top of his voice, “Today we are going to the bridge in Avignon. It looks so cool! ”
As Timmy arrived at the Avignon Bridge he noticed something strange, the bridge only reached half way over the deep green lake. Suddenly he noticed a statue on the bridge, he swiftly ran over to it and “AAGGHH” he never realised. It was a silly man smothered in shiny silver paint! The prompt this week is this picture. It is a bridge in Avignon in France. Look carefully. What do you notice? Try to think of different ways to open your sentences and use a variety of imaginative vocabulary to help you with the description. Good Luck and start emailing them to me! The form will close on 20th September. |
