We are busy revising for our SATS and everyone is working really hard. Booster classes are well attended too, so thank you for your support.
This week is British Science Week and the whole school visited the Life Centre in Newcastle on Monday. It was a brilliant day filled with experiments, things to do and see and a fantastic show in the Planetarium! I'm sure each and every one of us came away having learned something new!
Our work shop introduced us to DNA. We worked with scientists to extract DNA from a kiwi fruit. It was amazing!
Continuing the theme, we have looked at the difference between acquired and inherited traits in humans and animals.
We looked at the Labradoodle dog and how it's parents are different breeds. Which characteristics has the pup inherited?
It's been a very productive week and there has been an excitement and buzz around school.
