We almost managed to get to the end of Key Stage 1 Sports Day. Sadly rain stopped play. The children were brilliant and ran their hearts out despite the weather. Thanks to all of the parents, family and friends who turned up to lend their support to the children. You helped to ensure their spirits weren't dampened.
Thank you to everyone who has sent money to school for our WaterAid capaign. As a result of your generosity, we have raised over £430.00 pounds. This is enough money to provide two communities with wells and access to clean water, saving lives. The cost of water in the poorest countries of the world is frightening. Imagine if we had to spend 54% of our daily salary on water - it's impossible to imagine spending so much, when we just turn on a tap. Brilliant day in school!!
Not only was there a superb turn out from dads, grandads, uncles and other family members for pie and peas, but England beat Wales with last minute goal in their Euro 2016 group match. It was wonderful to see everyone together, enjoying the footy. |
