Michael taught the class a new batting and fielding game, which was similar to rounders, but with a twist! The children's bowling has greatly improved from last week. Well done.
It was great to be able to have a PE lesson in the sunshine this afternoon.

Well done to our stars of the week. Harvey was amazing at explaining how to add fractions with different denominators, Rebecca's writing has been used by another teacher to engage her class and Ethan is impressing everyone when organising play times.
This week we will be looking at 'Area and Perimeter', 'Volume' and solving measure word problems. Have a look at the videos and try some of the games:
A great interactive game to find Area and Perimeter of rooms in a house: http://www.learnalberta.ca/content/mesg/html/math6web/index.html?page=lessons&lesson=m6lessonshell12.swf http://www.bbc.co.uk/education/clips/zxs34wx http://www.bbc.co.uk/education/clips/zfmtfg8 http://www.bgfl.org/bgfl/custom/resources_ftp/client_ftp/ks2/maths/perimeter_and_area/index.html Year 6 found out so much today about how to be safe. They have lots to check at home so their house is safe! What an informative yet exciting day.
We had a fun-packed World Book Day in school. The theme was Alice in Wonderland so lots of us were dressed as characters from the book. In the afternoon, we had the chance to read to children in Nursery (they even let us join in on their Mad Hatter's Tea Party!) |
