One day in the city of ancient Greece a young boy called Theseus was playing by the water side with his best friend Tomas. Theseus was saying to Tomas that when he was older he wanted to become a legend but Tomas just laughed in his face. When the years passed by Theseus wasn't growing any younger in fact.Theseus was nearly twenty five so he decided to take a little bit of an adventure through the woods. When Theseus entered the woods he heard a scream so he ran as fast as he could to where the scream came from.As he looked around he couldn't see anything but a pair of red peering eyes staring at him from behind a tree . Theseus slowly walked back away from the eyes...

I was standing in utter darkness, no one to be seen what happed to them? As I looked around I heard a roar coming from the west side of town. Pacing at my toes I thought I was dreaming, I could smell beer coming from the pubs and also I could smell fear… What should I do ? Should I help? It would be too much of a risk surly. Standing with my head held high and back straight I marched into the cave. I walked into the darkness and lit a fire to keep me warm. I peered around to see if anyone was near.
We really enjoyed investigating Reversible and Irreversible Changes in Science today. We were unsure of a whether a few changes were irreversible so have created an experiment to see whether the material will be left and the water will evaporate. The prompt this week is:
…as I looked around… Make sure you use the prompt as it is written. Take care to make sure it is your best work with lots of creative vocabulary. Always read it through so that it says what you want it to. You have 104 words altogether so make sure you use them! The form will close on 4th October Wow! One of our children's 100 Word Challenge is listed in the special showcase! Well done Alisha.
The Special Showcase! We had an amazing morning working with Lisa to prepare for our 'Play in a Day'. The warm up games were so much fun and we all had the chance to show our melodramatic acting. As we had a few absentees, we invited Year 5 to join in with us!
Rugby was tough this week, for some of us! Reaching down to the floor and touching the cones with our elbows, noses and ears was quite tricky! The Avignon bridge in France has only got one half, I wonder why? Some people might know. People like me don’t know but want to know! Have you ever seen a bridge that is only one half? Would you like to see one? Well maybe it got blown up or fell in the water because of all the weight. If wagons, trucks and lorries were driving over and it was so heavy it dropped. Here’s a good idea maybe they didn’t have enough money to build the rest. We’ll never know unless we stick in at school and learn about it …
It was Timmy’s fourth day in France. He woke up to the blazing sun shimmering in his dark blue eyes. As he got out of his bed he screamed at the top of his voice, “Today we are going to the bridge in Avignon. It looks so cool! ”
As Timmy arrived at the Avignon Bridge he noticed something strange, the bridge only reached half way over the deep green lake. Suddenly he noticed a statue on the bridge, he swiftly ran over to it and “AAGGHH” he never realised. It was a silly man smothered in shiny silver paint! We loved playing the Addition Game in Maths today. It really helped us to practise using mental methods for addition. (Mrs Hall also let us use her brand new 12 sided dice!)
