Well, we all survived the week. A fantastic final fun activity out on Ullswater in our home built raft.
What a scorcher today has been. Lots of sun cream and water helped us climb Steel Knotts. Once again teamwork prevailed to support the whole group to achieve more collectively than as individuals. A long walk in the heat has left us feeling tired but with a great sense of achievement. We left the centre and scaled Steel Knotts before tackling Gowk Hill and returning through Fusedale, clocking up over 6 kilometres and ascending 432 metres. It was tough in parts, but with good team support and leadership we navigated ourselves effectively. Well done! Just a few more pictures of our super day. Everyone has had fun and given their all. It's fair to say that we should all sleep well tonight. We spent time in our group working together to achieve greater things. Despite being eaten by midges it was great to see the team spirit developing. This was followed by a jog and dip in Ullswater, refreshing! |
