In the sack was a colourful leopard, it leapt out of the sack and started to run. It ran to the Whitehouse and trailing behind it was imagination. Soon the world was filled with imagination. No one was scared to go outside and everyone was happy but the nasty pasty was sent away for ever. Now that the world is at peace at last things have changed. People only believed in God and in schools across the world students only spoke when spoken to. Will anything bad ever happen again or will the world rest in peace? To be continued........
I remember …
I remember even though we were fighting a war something very special happened. It was christmas day and ourselves and the Germans left the cold wet trenchers and became friends while playing football. We were enjoying playing football so much that we forgot all about fighting in the world war. Suddenly a loud explosion went off when were having our little game of football. We all ran back to the trenches. I was thinking how nice it would be to be at home spending the best christmas day ever with my family but instead we wrote a letter. Why to remember the WW1 Soldiers
1. They risked their lives for ours 2. If they didn't win we could have been speaking German this second 3. Many lives were lost during and after the war because of fatal injuries 4. They were expected to join and if they didn't a woman would give them a white feather, a sign of cowardness 5. If they joined and deserted their post they would be killed 6. They had to eat the same food every day to survive 7. They were brave enough to go and fight 8. Nearly every British male who was 18 or over joined the army This week we will be looking at the features of newspaper reports. Have a read of the links to support your learning: http://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/ks2/english/writing/newspapers/read/1/ Good evening and welcome back to the Night Zoo. You join us here in dark times I am afraid. The evil Lord of Nulth has declared war on imagination and his reign of terror is in danger of destroying the Night Zoo and creativity once and for all. The Night Zoo needs your help! Your first task is to watch and listen carefully to this short story about the Lord of Nulth. “Ma, please can I join the war?” Tommy muttered.
“Tommy your to young your only 16 and your not risking your life!” Ma replied. 3 years later… One day Tommy sneaked out of the house to go to war without telling his ma! As he walked he was worried his Ma wouldn't like him after he went. Thoughts in his head were driving him insane. Since his father was in the war he wanted to join him. Tommy stopped and thought to himself. Should I go? I don’t know if Ma will forgive me I may not return. Ma, I'm sorry please remember me. Why still remember it's been 100years since it started? We still remember WW1 because of all the deaths and injuries 9million men did for King and country, many more lost an arm or leg. Also because of bad conditions in the trenches, food was cold and not very nice. When it was time to sleep you had to sleep in trenches or dugouts, which weren't great but better than sleeping out in the open! That's why we REMEMBER WW1 and the great inventions that where made, and are still used today!
Hello, I am Zak and I am really nervous knowing I'm going to war. I'm actually kind of wishing I didn't sign up for war now. My best friend Ben said he thought I was stupid for signing up, Ben knows lots of people who signed up and never came back. A few days later I said my goodbyes after a little bit of practice using my gun although most of the guns were actually brushes. When we got there we had to dig trenches, me and the older lads slaved really hard, it wasn't the best thing to do. When we finished building the trenches we all sat down and tried to get comfortable but it started to rain and the trench flooded. The worst thing though is trying to sleep with rats crawling all over you. In the end I got up, most of the lads were awake too. I must go now, remember I'll write again soon.
Dear Ma,
Today we were told to write a letter home, you know just in case. Well I don’t really know what to say but I suspect it is my time to go over the top and well we both know what that means. If by some miracle I make it back alive we are going to be home by Christmas and it will be the best Christmas we have ever had. I saw pa today and he is fit and well, he said he misses you and can’t wait for his return. Remember I love you Your serving son Sydney |
