What an amazing day I have had with the Year 6 children at Howtown. After a 5.00am start I made it to the centre just in time for a full English breakfast. A good meal for the day ahead. We spent the morning rock climbing on a crag with the most amazing views of Ullswater. The children were brilliant - encouraging each other all of the time. Everyone had a go and faced their challenges head on. Gorge walking cooled us down in the afternoon. We climbed waterfalls and waded through pools. Everyone had fun splashing in the water. Once again, the children's teamwork was awesome. Our Year 6s have been a real credit to the school and it has been a privilege to spend the day with them!

Did you pinch the last runny friend egg again Mr Knighton? Glad you had a great day with us. The children really enjoyed you coming along. I hear you were a real expert in the tunnels!
